Barbara R. Merlie joined Rudolph Clarke in the spring of 2015 after working for 33 years as an attorney in Montgomery and Bucks Counties and prior to that in Washington, D.C.

A New Jersey native, Ms. Merlie relocated to Bucks County from the Washington, D.C. area in 1989.

Ms. Merlie is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and concentrates her practices in the areas of municipal law, land use and zoning.Previously, in Washington, D.C. Ms. Merlie’s practice centered on broadcasting, cable television and telecommunication matters.

Along with several government and private parties, Ms. Merlie worked to preserve nearly 200 acres of open space known as the Angus Tract and the Sheep Tract of Erdenheim Farm in Montgomery County.

Education

Ms. Merlie received her B.S. degree from College Misericordia in 1972. She earned her J.D. from The Columbus School of Law, The Catholic University of America, in 1981.
