Melissa (Lentz) Osborne received her BA in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Philosophy from Bloomsburg University in 2002 and her JD from Widener University Delaware School of Law in 2006. Melissa spent the first twelve years of her legal career in e-discovery, working at some of Philadelphia’s biggest law firms gaining experience in a wide variety of law, from multi-district litigation, class action suits, pharmaceutical defense and white collar criminal defense to name a few. For the last five years she has practiced civil defense litigation in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties.
Melissa is a dedicated community leader, having served six years on the Board of Trustees of the Upper Moreland Free Public Library, and two years as the President of the Board. She is currently a community member of the Library’s Strategic Planning Committee. Melissa is a Judge of Elections in Upper Moreland and also sits as the vacancy board member of the Upper Moreland Township Board of Commissioners. She is the Secretary of the Upper Moreland Democratic Committee and is a member of the Montgomery County Democratic Committee’s By-Laws Committee. Melissa is the Vice Chair of the Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education, Upper Moreland Chapter, a member of the Upper Moreland Equity Alliance and an active volunteer with the Upper Moreland Music Patrons and the Upper Moreland Little League where her children are involved with music and the performing arts and softball.
