Get to Know Nicole Phillips!

Nicole Phillips has spent her career as an advocate in the courtroom, a servant in her community, and as a mentor to young people.

​She is a resident of Montgomery County whose children have been students in the Montgomery County schools. She has spent the majority of her nearly 20-year career as a prosecutor. In that role, she advocated for the victims of Southeastern Pennsylvania in complex criminal matters such as violent crime, sexual assault, and white-collar crime.

Nicole began her career as an Assistant District Attorney, where she handled cases ranging from attempted murder, robbery, rape and sexual assault, child molestation, and domestic violence-related crimes. Nicole has tried hundreds of jury and bench trials in local and federal courts. Currently, she is a Partner at Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads, LLP. Nicole’s devotion to community and commitment to public service are why she wishes to use her experience and expertise to now serve the people of Montgomery County as a Judge of the Court of Common Pleas.

Raised in a family deeply rooted in faith, humility, and service to others, Nicole is the proud mother of two sons and two adult bonus daughters, and has devoted her life to raising her very active children, serving others and being an advocate for racial equity and inclusion. In her church, Nicole’s service includes being a minister, singer, and a facilitator for youth and women’s conferences. Her community and professional involvement over the years has included membership in the Montgomery Bar Association, the Black Democratic Women of Montgomery County, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Philadelphia Reads, Philadelphia VIP – Board Member, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women – Pennsylvania Chapter, and the University of Pennsylvania Law School Inn of Court. While serving as an Assistant United States Attorney, Nicole participated in the Supervision to Aid Reentry Court which provides services to assist individuals in successfully returning to the community after serving federal sentences. In November 2020, Nicole was selected by the Philadelphia Business Journal as a 2020 Women of Distinction honoree.

Nicole Phillips would be honored to serve the residents of Montgomery County as a Judge of the Court of Common Pleas and will serve with compassion and integrity.

Nicole Phillips’ personal and professional experiences have taught her that anyone can find themselves in a local courtroom – as a victim, a witness, having been charged with a crime, supporting a loved one charged with a crime, in the midst of a divorce, a custody battle, or as a litigant in a lawsuit. With Nicole as a judge in the Court of Common Pleas, the residents of Montgomery County can be assured that they will have someone who places a premium on treating everyone with dignity and respect, while adhering to the law through a lens of fairness and equity, being acutely aware of the long term and broad-reaching impact of her decisions.
