Rudolph Clarke Partner, Peter Amuso, Led Discussion on School District Contract Negotiations at PSBA Leadership Conference

At the recent annual School Law Workshop, which takes place during the annual PSBA Leadership Conference, Partner Peter Amuso led a discussion on the benefits and potential pitfalls of Early Bird Negotiations, and reviewed the timelines and requirements for school district negotiations under Act 88.

Peter was joined on the stage by the HR Director of our client the Bensalem Township School District, Mr. Joseph Langowski, to lend a non-lawyer perspective to these critical legal issues. Peter and Joe also recounted the recent, very successful Early Bird negotiations in Bensalem with the teachers union.

Peter told the crowd, “The Rudolph Clarke approach to labor negotiation can be summed up in one word: respect. Respect for its labor unions does not cost a school district anything, but it creates real results in negotiations.”
